Savage, MN —  JDC MotorSports announced today that it will enter Robillard Racing’s # 43 Duqueine D08 for Joe Robillard alongside long-time regular team mate Stevan McAleer in the 2022 Prototype Challenge Championship. The pair already raced together since 2018 in several IMSA championships.

“Ecstatic to be back with Joe Robillard again in the IMSA Prototype Challenge Championship. I feel we have some unfinished business in this series and I am looking forward to having another shot at the title with Joe and the JDC team. Certainly we made some big changes for 2022 and I am delighted to see Robillard Racing join JDC MotorSports for this 2022 season. Their mass of prototype experience, class wins and podiums in pretty much every IMSA Championship and Class they have and are competing in, including overall wins in the IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar Championship Series, this is a great fit for us to get that little extra speed that I feel we have been missing at times in the last couple of seasons. The opening event is in two weeks and can’t wait to get going round the banks of Daytona International Speedway again”. Said Stevan McAleer.

“Stevan and I are excited to join efforts with JDC MotorSports.  Their experience and expertise will give us a great shot at success.  Stevan brings his amazing driving and I bring enthusiasm.  With JDC, we should have some good results in 2022”. Commented Joe Robillard.

“We are looking forward to partner with Joe and Stevan for the 2022 IMSA Prototype Challenge Championship,” said John Church managing partner of JDC MotorSports. “Steven is a proven race winner and he and Joe scored several podiums in the past, so for sure they will be candidate for podiums and race wins every weekend and hopefully will have a run at the championship in 2022.  They know the car, tracks and have raced together for quite some time now so the consistency they bring to the program will be a big plus in 2022 “ Church continued.

The 2022 Prototype Challenge Championship kicks off Jan 21 – Jan 23 at Daytona International Speedway as part of the “Roar Before the Rolex 24” with a three hours race.

About JDC MotorSports / JDC-Miller MotorSports

Minnesota based JDC MotorSports has left a large footprint on the IMSA record books in short amount of time.  The team under the entry of JDC-Miller MotorSports won the 2016 Rolex 24 Hours at Daytona competing in the IMSA PC class.  They quickly transitioned to the top ranks of Sports Car racing in 2017, joining the prototype category and scored two second place finishes and finished fourth in the series championship in their rookie season.

Their success and growth continued in 2018, when they introduced a two-car effort and scored a victory at the Sahlen’s Six Hour and a pole at Road America.  Once again, JDC-Miller MotorSports, finished fourth in the series championship, but this time against an even larger and more competitive IMSA WeatherTech Championship field.

After IMSA announced the prototype class split for DPi and LMP2 prototypes with the 2019 season, JDC-Miller MotorSports entered into a partnership with Cadillac to filed a two car Cadillac DPi-V.R program staring with the 2019 season and was joined by Mustang Sampling Racing for the 2020 season which saw the No. 5 entry score three podium finishes in the 2020 IMSA WeatherTech Sportscar Championship.

In 2021 the team won the 12 Hours of Sebring with drivers Sébastien Bourdais, Loïc Duval and Tristan Vautier and finished 3rd at the Grand Prix of Long Beach later that year.
